Prof. Dr. Alexander Jesser studied computer engineering with a focus on electrical engineering at the University of Paderborn. He then worked for several years at the Fraunhofer Institute IIS in Erlangen in the field of satellite navigation systems and medical technology. After completing his doctorate in the field of formal verification, he held several management positions in industry before moving to Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences in 2013. Since 2019, he has been Dean of Studies for the Bachelor’s degree programs “Electrical Engineering” and “Automation Technology and Electrical Engineering” and the Master’s degree program “Electrical Engineering”. At the beginning of 2021, he founded the Institute for Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems ICPS at Heilbronn University. The institute conducts applied research in the fields of “Digital Transformation”, “IIoT – Industrial Internet”, “Robotics”, “Artificial Intelligence” and “Image Processing” in an industrial environment.

Markus helps start-ups, enterprises and organisations to unlock the strategic potential of data and artificial intelligence. With over 15 years’ experience in strategic consultancy, he regularly analyses the digital business models and technological maturity of target companies, identifying opportunities to modernise IT architectures, expand data and AI capabilities, and increase long-term business value.
Markus Begerow has extensive expertise in managing, implementing and scaling projects in the areas of data and AI. In recent years, he has advised well-known companies on introducing innovative technologies. He is also a university lecturer who imparts practical knowledge in data processing and decentralised data platforms.
In all his work, whether in projects, lectures or mentoring programmes, his goal is to make digital innovation understandable, implementable and effective.
Mandy Goram

Mandy Goram works as a Senior Solution Architect at pmOne AG. She develops innovative solutions and data strategies in a cross-industry environment. She conducts research in the field of human-centered information and AI system design and the development of user-centered, legally compliant AI platforms and intelligent personalized assistance systems, with a focus on ethical and legal aspects. She is an experienced software developer and DWH/BI/Analytics/KI expert with many years of industry and project experience. Previously, she worked for many years as a research assistant at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and at the Chair of Cooperative Systems at the FernUniversität in Hagen.
Before her career in research, the computer scientist worked for several years as an IT consultant in the private sector. She worked on various projects as a data warehouse, business intelligence, master data management and software developer in the banking and insurance sector and at a large German market research company. She then moved to an internal position at a medical-pharmaceutical company, where she took over the management of the Business Intelligence department, developing it further and completely realigning it.
Bastian Höcker

Bastian Höcker studied industrial engineering in his bachelor’s degree and then later as a Master of Data Science. He gained several years of process and data analysis experience in oil production and real estate management before taking on the role of Head of BI in 2018, building up the analytics division of a start-up. He currently works as a team lead and data engineer in Azure Cloud Analytics and IoT.
